reflection
My unit 6 project was a team project with Erin McKinley. With this project we decided that Erin would teach me how to make a simple iMovie because that is one thing that I was very digitally illiterate in. After Erin taught me about how to make an iMovie, she wrote a reflection on how she went about educating me. I wrote about Erin's teaching process and what I did and did not like about her processes.
My only critique on this project was the fact that I lacked recomendation on what Erin could do better when teaching me. I often said that there were aspects that I did not like about her teaching method but failed to give recommendations about things that she could do instead of what she had done. In my revisions I went back through and edited my suggestions, especially within the bullet points, and wrote about how Erin might have gone about teaching instead of just saying that I did not like her methods. While these changes did not directly affect a digital literacy it did directly affect an educational literacy. I realized that when I become a teacher it will be beneficial for students to give me suggestions rather than just telling me what they dislike about my methods.
